Bridge The Gap Tutoring & Youth Mentoring Programs

Marin County youth mentoring programs We are a small thrifty organization with low overhead expenses. We have only two staff positions, a teacher, and tutor coordinator/student advocate, both of whom work part-time.

In addition to payroll, contributions to the BTG youth tutoring and mentoring programs help pay for:

A safe school bus shuttle for our kids to evening sessions.
Our "Wish-Book" program that encourages reading achievement by awarding students prize books of their choice.
Special tutor training sessions conducted by our staff. We support the generous effort of our tutors.
School supplies like paper, pencils and pens used during tutoring.
Small social events that celebrate learning and give our children, parents and tutors a chance to develop a deeper sense of community.
